Welcome to Our Library!
Our library
offers students a variety of materials to check out, including fiction,
non-fiction and picture books, as well as magazines and audio
materials. Many of our materials are available in Spanish as well
as English. Our goal is to encourage each and every child to
become a life-long reader.
All students
are taught information literacy skills both in the library and in our
computer lab. These skills are essential for students to be able
to access, evaluate and use information. For a complete guide to

Accelerated Reader
Thanks
to a grant from the Carmel Hill Foundation, we are implementing the
Accelerated Reader program at Brown Elementary! Accelerated
Reader is a motivational reading program that helps students choose
books at their level and allows them to take computerized tests to
assess their comprehension. To find out more about Accelerated
