Specials Rotation

We have a new Specials schedule!  This new schedule reflects our continued commitment to improving the instructional practices for Spanish, Dance/PE, Music, Art, and Library/Technology at Brown.  Students rotate specials every 4-5 weeks.  Over the course of a semester, all students will experience all four Specials programs.

Here is a description of how the new schedule works:

Library: 
To give students more opportunities to engage in research for their IB units of inquiry, Library/Technology was given its own weekly schedule.  Once a week all classes have allotted times with Mrs. Spruce to deepen the content knowledge of their unit of inquiry and learn new ways to research and use technology resources.

Spanish: 
To give students more exposure to Spanish we have modified the Specials schedule so that all classes will see Mrs. Kreider at least once a week.  In addition, students who are in the Spanish rotation will get Dance/PE, Art, and Music during the week.  For example, Monday is Spanish, Tuesday is Dance/PE, Wednesday is Art, Thursday is Music, and Friday is Spanish.  This applies only to students in the Spanish rotation.  

Dance/PE:
Students in the Dance/PE rotation will see Mrs. Salinger four days a week (M,W,Th,F).  Tuesday is reserved for Spanish.

Art:
Students in the Art rotation will see Mr. Q four days a week (M,T,Th,F).  Wednesday is reserved for Spanish.

Music: 
Students in the Music rotation will see Mrs. Brinster four days a week (M,T,W,F).  Thursday is reserved for Spanish.
