International Baccalaureate Open House November 18, 2009 An Internationally Minded Education: Come Learn About This Option
Brown International Academy will be holding an informational evening about the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme on Wednesday, November 18 from 6:15-7:30 pm, followed by a “Taster Tour” led by 5th graders and parents.
If you are researching school options for your child next fall, don’t miss this opportunity to learn about IB and how it is being applied at Brown. Principal Suzanne Loughran will discuss the IB philosophy and Brown’s academic achievement. Brown’s IB Coordinator, Amy Highsmith, will provide a presentation about the IB Primary Years Programme, while highlighting several examples of projects students are currently pursuing at Brown.
The presentation will be held in the Brown Community Room in the school’s basement. Light refreshments will be provided. Parents are kindly encouraged to leave children at home, however, for kids who do attend, coloring books and crayons will be available.
Brown is located at 2550 Lowell Blvd. For more information about the open house, contact Kara Bovenzi at kbovenzi@covcs.org.
