W.I.N./W.I.N.
Wonders in Nature, Wonders in Neighborhoods (W.I.N./W.I.N.) is an urban wildlife conservation education program co-managed by the Denver Zoo and the Colorado Division of Wildlife. The mission is to foster an appreciation of wildlife learning experiences.
Students learn about science and nature through a variety of lessons taught by a W.I.N./W.I.N. program educator. Many of these lessons include live plants and animals that students study and touch. Each classroom also gets to go on one field visit to local natural areas and museums at no cost to Brown! These visits are a wonderful way to allow students to observe and appreciate Colorado's wildlife in its natural habitat.
Field trips have included such places as Two Pond National Wildlife Refuge, Downtown Aquarium, Barr Lake State Park, Bear Creek, Plains Conservation Center, Anderson Farms, CU Natural History Museum, and Dinosaur Ridge - these are just a few among the 30 sites visited by W.I.N./W.I.N..
