Interested in helping out on the Brown International Academy playground during your kiddo's recess this year? Volunteer for WatchCats!
WatchCats is a program where positive role models of BIA students (aka dads, moms, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, etc) lend a hand during recess! Not only will you get to hang out with the students (game of tag, anyone?), but you'll also provide extra sets of eyes and ears, which enhances security, reduces bullying, and supports the kiddos' confidence! (Bonus, you get to feel awesome about helping out your kid, their friends, and their school!)

How do I sign up to volunteer?
Background Check
You are required to fill out a quick background check through Sterling Volunteers (don't worry, it's super easy!) Use the link: https://app.sterlingvolunteers.com/en/Mains/Home

What do I do the day I'm volunteering?
5-10 minutes prior to the recess time slot you have selected, check in at Brown front office to sign in. Sign in with RaptorSafe app or with your ID. Place adhesive ID tag somewhere visible, please!
Head to the playground to interact with the students and have fun! Fun includes, though is not limited to: high fiving, fist bumping, playing soccer, tag, jump roping, saying "hello!" and asking about what the kiddos are learning, or even just enjoying the sun on your face while you keep an eye on the action around you.
After you're done return to the office to checkout and feel free to sign up for another day. We'd love to have you back!
