School drop off & pick up is a busy time at BIA, but student safety is up to all of us!

🦺 Crossing Guards: Former parent Nicole is back as a crossing guard volunteer! Marissa, a para at Brown, is our new crossing guard. Please say Hi and welcome her to our community. There will be days that they can't be there due to travel or illness, if you can help out please reach out to Nicole at bucknernm@outlook.com
😘 Kiss & Go Lane: This is the only location where you should drop your child off when not accompanying them into the playground. Parents, please pull all the way forward, drop your student off and move along to keep traffic moving through the lane! D
Reminders:
Please do not park in the Kiss & Go Lane.
For everyone's safety, please do not drop off kids at the intersection of 25th & King or in the middle of the street.
🚶🏽♀️ Pedestrians: Thank you for waiting at ALL of the intersections at 25th and King for our crossing guards to stop traffic. We really appreciate it! Parents, we are there to protect you as well. Even after drop-off, cars are still coming down King. Please continue to wait for us to hold the traffic so you can cross safely.
🚘 Vehicles: Thank you for slowing down at the intersection and waiting for the crossing guards to clear the cross walk before entering. As a reminder, please do not park in the NO PARKING spots at the intersection of 25th & King. Vehicles in these spots make it hard for other cars and the crossing guards to see pedestrians and other cars approaching the intersection.
🚲 Bikes: We love seeing so many families biking to school! Please remember to stop at the intersection of 25th and King. and we will wave you on if it is safe to cross.
Please consider not going north on King. Crossing the Kiss & Go lane is dangerous. Parents dropping their students off are not looking for you, they are watching their students walk onto the playground. Please dismount your bike and walk up the sidewalk onto the school grounds.
