Hi BIA families!

As the season of gratitude approaches, November is the perfect time to celebrate everything that makes Brown International Academy so unique. From our globally-minded IB program to the joy of shared traditions like Bike Bus, Book Fair, and Thanksgiving Lunch, this month is all about community, connection, and the small (and big) moments that bring us together. Keep reading to see all the ways you can join in this month and make a difference in our Bobcat community!

You Crushed It, Brown! — Everybody In Campaign Success!

Thanks to our amazing families, we raised $96,553 during this year’s Everybody In Campaign! This brings us that much closer to reaching our $120,000 pledge to support our school—funding that goes directly back into our unique IB program, including Spanish classes, field trips, and classroom enrichment.

This campaign is a true reflection of the power of our community. Every donation, volunteer hour, and word of encouragement helped make this achievement possible.

Together, we are strengthening our school, enriching our students’ experiences, and showing what’s possible when everybody’s in!

With SNAP benefits not being released for November, many families in our Brown community could use extra support. The PTA invites you to help in two meaningful ways:

The PTA will collect contributions to purchase the gift cards directly or you can bring them to the front office.

Get ready to ride, laugh, and rock out! The Brown Bike Bus is rolling strong with both the Sloan’s Lake and Snarf’s routes. It’s a fun, safe, and energetic way to start the day with friends, fresh air, and music.

🎶 Got a favorite song? Request it and we might play it on the ride!

Whether you’re pedaling along, cheering from the sidelines, or just curious, it’s a joyful way to celebrate our community.

Join us for a fun community night out at Edgewater Inn (5302 W 25th Ave, Edgewater, CO 80214)! They’ll give back 15% of all dine-in and take-out orders to support our school. 

🎶 Enjoy live music from a local musician while catching up with fellow BIA families. Bring your appetite, your friends, and your Brown pride — every bite helps our students thrive!

Mark your calendars for this beloved BIA tradition of gratitude, food, and community! Join your student for a special Thanksgiving Lunch and share a meaningful meal together—it’s a wonderful way to connect and celebrate.  

Please note - the window for ordering meal tickets has passed. Didn’t have the chance to snag a meal ticket? That’s okay, you can still come and sit with your student over the lunch period.

We still need volunteers for each shift! Come early or stay after your lunch to help welcome families, serve meals, and make the day run smoothly. Volunteering is a fun, hands-on way to be part of this special event.

Join us for our November PTA meeting! School psychologists LeeAnn and Anita will lead a discussion on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and understanding bullying—what it looks like, how to recognize it, and ways we can support our students.

We’ll also gather your feedback on Fall Fest and the Everybody In campaign to help shape future events.

Second Grade Books & Bagels

Second grade families, it’s time for a cozy morning of books, bagels, and bonding! Join your student in the classroom for a sweet start to the day—enjoy breakfast goodies, sip on a warm beverage, and dive into a good book together.

📖 Come for the food, stay for the connection—and make some special memories with your Bobcat.

A Spookily Successful Night!

Was it just us, or was this year’s BIA Fall Fest & Haunted House extra special? What a night! Families, students, and staff came together for an evening full of fall-themed games, crafts, tasty treats, and even a kid-friendly Haunted House.

Special Shout-Outs:

• The triple-threat engine behind the magic: 5th grade parents Kendra, Charlotte, and Tenille!

• Day-of-event volunteers who ran games, crafts, dessert walks, and the chili cook-off — you made the night magical!

• Teachers and staff who helped with setup and haunted house thrills — you brought the spooky fun!

• And of course, a huge thanks to all our families for showing up and making the evening joyful

Fun Run — Bobcat Pride in Action!

What a day for our Bobcats! Students ran their hearts out — 10 minutes for ECE & Kindergarten, 20 minutes for grades 1–5 — showing off incredible energy, determination, and school spirit.
